Are We Already in the Renaissance 2.0 Era?
France is the second country after Denmark to seek to free itself from proprietary software. To this end, France plans to switch from Microsoft® Office® to an Opensource® officesuit first. And hopefully, the next step will be the transition from Windows® to Linux®. In doing so, France is emerging as a driving force in the effort to become independent from Microsoft® and other U.S. software companies.

Denmark does not want Microsoft
The Danish Ministry of Digital Affairs wants to switch completely from Microsoft® and Office 365® to Linux® and LibreOffice® by fall 2025. Admittedly, Denmark is a country with almost 6 million inhabitants, so it is much easier to carry out such an action than in Germany with its almost 85 million inhabitants. In my opinion, it is not the number of computers that is important here, but the fact that Denmark has taken this step. Because the first step is always the most difficult.

Windows® 11 only on new hardware

CrowdStrike update
On Friday, the company CrowdStrike released an update for Windows® computers via the Internet. Afterwards, an error occurred that caused the entire Windows® operating system to crash with a Blue Screen of Death. After restarting, Windows® crashed again and was in a boot loop. Airports, banks, stores and other businesses around the world were affected.

Spotify© makes itself independent on Windows®!
About 10 days ago, something strange happened on Microsoft® operating systems Windows 10® and Windows 11®. The Spotify© app was simply installed on some Windows computers without the knowledge or permission of the users. Users are partly surprised and partly shocked at what Microsoft® can do with users’ computers.

First of all, the politically correct name of the operating system is not Linux®, but GNU with the Linux® kernel and is spelled GNU/Linux. That is why there was a name dispute.
